Rosie and Chris’s amazing Wedding at The Barn at Berkeley in Gloucestershire
I’ve been a documentary wedding photographer for over 17 years now. During that time I’ve covered weddings all over Gloucestershire and Herefordshire. I’ve travelled across the UK, I’ve even gone abroad to exotic locations such as Italy and Castles in Spain. However, I’ve never covered a wedding at The Barn at Berkeley, so I was looking forward to photographing Rosie and Chris’s wedding.The Barn at Berkeley certainly didn’t disappoint and Rosie and Chris were out to make the most of this venue and their special day!
It all starts with bridal preparations
Like most weddings, the day started out with bridal preparations. In this case, Rosie was getting ready at her house near Cheltenham. Once everyone was ready it was off to the ceremony and reception at The Barn at Berkeley.

The main part of the venue is a very typical large barn conversion built in traditional Cotswold stone. The staff are really helpful there and it’s a great space any bride and groom and their guests to enjoy their wedding party. Talking of party’s Rosie and Chris were clearly out to have fun on their big day and have fun they certainly did!
Fun and games at Cattle Country
After the main meal and speeches, there was an exodus next door, namely Cattle Country. Now if you’ve never heard of Cattle Country it’s basically a kid’s play ground with huge slides and climbing ropes. In this case, it’s a wedding playground and Rosie and Chris wasted no time in making a bee line for the giant slide! Needless to say, all this activity made great photo opportunities. It’s not every wedding you see the Bridal party, hurtling at high speed down a giant slide!
