Meg and Henry’s documentary wedding photography Oxfordshire
Every year I cover weddings across the UK and sometimes overseas. Last May it was time for me to shoot documentary wedding photography Oxfordshire, once again. I was to cover Meg and Henry’s wedding in the beautiful rural counties of Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire.
As Gloucestershire wedding photographer, I feel extremely lucky and honoured to be part of peoples wedding day. Needless to say, Meg and Henry’s wedding was no exception.
On most occasions, I start the day’s photography with the preparations but for this wedding, I began at the Church in Elderfield in Gloucestershire. Capturing the groom greeting guests as they arrive on a showery day in May. Henry the groom was looking most dapper with his smart blue waistcoat and tails.
No ordinary bride
Meg the bride arrived on time in the wedding car. Meg was certainly no ordinary bride. She is quite a character and loves to fool around. I suppose you could say she was quite quirky and I mean that as a compliment.
After the ceremony, we all trooped off to wedding reception which was held at Fawler Manor in Oxfordshire. Wedding guests were greeted with drinks and canapes. Guests cheerfully drifted and chatted between the main house and the marquee, set up in the garden.
Superb wedding day
It was a wonderful wedding and as usual, Ioved wondering around capturing all the special moments and interactions. The family and friends clearly had a superb day and it wasn’t until very late in the evening that I finally left to make my way home.
