Jane and James Wedding in the Wye Valley

The Sun came out for Jane and James wedding in the Wye Valley and what a great day it turned out to be. The Wye valley has got to be one of my favorite places in UK. It’s without a doubt one of Englands most beautiful rivers and the countryside surrounding it is idyllic. No wonder Jane and James chose to get married here.

Jane as recently recovered from a very critical illness at one point it was touch and go, whether she would make it. However, she is a larger than life kind of person, enthusiasm. I’m sure that along with the support of James saw her through. This made the wedding day all the more extra special.

They both decide to hold their reception at The Old Court, a venue I have visited a number of times in the past. It was a small intimate wedding, which just made it all the more relaxing and special.

Jane initially found me online. She particularly loved my photos of kids at weddings. As they had their own children that it was very important to them. I went about recording the story of the day in my usual manner. You can see some samples below. I usually cover the whole wedding from preparations to the first dance and beyond.After that, I go away and edit the images. It takes me about two days to edit them. I don’t do anything overboard I just want to bring out what I saw on the day in a natural way. So I tend to enhance the images ensuring a good tonal range, colours and rich black and whites.
