Beautiful Autumn Berkeley Castle wedding in Gloucestershire
As a documentary wedding photographer, I’m lucky enough to get commissioned to photograph weddings all across the county and beyond.Gloucestershire has some fantastic wedding venues. So I was delighted when Kate and Tony contacted me to cover their wedding at Berkeley Castle in Gloucestershire.
Amazing Castle wedding venue
There is something special about Berkeley Castle. This amazing 12th century Castle comes complete with turrets, a courtyard and The Great Hall. It is set in acres of beautiful terraced gardens.Available for exclusive hire with just a 10 minutes drive from the M5 and just 25 minutes from Bristol.
The wedding coverage
My coverage began with Kate and her bridesmaid getting ready in a hired house nearby. Tony and his merry band of men were getting ready downstairs. Once everyone was ready, it was just a few minutes walk to the Castle grounds and The Great Hall, where the ceremony was to be held. The Autumn weather provided some wonderful sunshine and light. The newlyweds and guests headed for the Castle gardens for reception drinks before the wedding breakfast.
After the wedding breakfast and speeches, everyone enjoyed coffee and cake until the first dance kicked off! There were some real larger than life characters at this wedding, so it was a real pleasure to cover. Check out some of my favourite pictures from Kate and Tony’s Berkeley Castle wedding below.
