Egypt Mill Weddings Gloucestershire
Anne and David’s special day
It was a real honour to cover Anne and David’s recent wedding at Egypt Mill in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire.
Anne and David’s ceremony took place at the Baptist Church in Minchampton and then onto the venue, where drinks and canapes were served. Armed with my camera I covered their story as it unfolded in front of me. Anne really loves her scooter, so we couldn’t resist taking a few shots of the two of them zooming around on it.
Then it was time for the wedding meal and speeches. Annes son is intensely camera shy but I managed to get a few shots of him laughing at the best man’s speech.
Decisive moments
I always have to be ready for those special moments. This requires a lot of observation, good timing and lighting camera reactions. So it pays off to have really good equipment. My trusty Canon 5d mark 3 never lets me down.
This was the second time around for Anne and David and as such, they just wanted a no fuss, relaxed affair. They found me online and my natural style of documentary wedding photography was just what they were looking for. No stiff posing and just a few formal shots.
